WHY I LOVE HELPING NONPROFITS GROW ONLINE

WHY I LOVE HELPING NONPROFITS GROW ONLINE

I took some time away from social media—not just to rest but to work on myself, my skills, and my vision. Sometimes, stepping back helps you see things more clearly. It reminded me why I do what I do.

I’ve always had a deep desire to help others. It started years ago when I faced bullying in school. I still remember the moment my mom stepped in and defended me. Fear left me, and in its place came confidence, reassurance, and the realization that having someone stand by your side can change everything. That feeling stuck with me. I knew I wanted to be that kind of support for others.

Over time, I found a way to merge my passion for digital communication with my need to make an impact. That’s how I became a social media manager for social change. Helping nonprofits amplify their voices, reach the right people, and create real impact is something I take pride in.

My journey so far? A mix of challenges, wins, and lessons.

🔹 Challenges? Oh, plenty!

- Finding original ideas that stand out.

- Creating posts that actually get the expected outcome.

- Multitasking across multiple projects.

- Bringing all the brand pieces together in a clear, powerful way.

- Clients who underestimate the amount of work social media management takes.

- And, of course, burnout—because impact-driven work is deeply personal.

🔹 But the wins make it worth it;

- Seeing pages grow in numbers and engagement.

- The satisfaction of clients when they see the results.

- And most importantly, the impact—how one post, one campaign, can shift mentalities, influence policies, and change lives.

🔹 Lessons? The biggest one:

- Have clear goals and keep learning because social media evolves every single day.

So, I’m back—more focused, more intentional, and ready to help purpose-driven organizations maximize their impact online. If you’re in the nonprofit space, let’s talk:

What’s your biggest struggle with social media right now?
