About Me
I’m Ngumfor Abinwi, a digital communications professional working at the intersection of digital communication, community engagement and social impact.
I work with organisations and initiatives focused on creating positive change, particularly in areas such as environment, youth empowerment and community development.
My work involves turning ideas, projects and activities into digital content that people can understand, connect with and engage with — from social media strategy and storytelling to community management, campaign communication and content creation.
Through my work with organisations including Youth & Contemporary Development (YCD) and Greenpeace Africa, I’ve had the opportunity to manage digital platforms, facilitate online communities, train volunteers, develop content and help communicate the work happening on the ground.
I believe digital platforms help people discover a cause, understand an issue, find their voice and take action.

Youth & Contemporary Development is a youth-led organisation in Cameroon working around youth empowerment, environmental sustainability and community development.
My role
As Digital Communications Lead, I help shape how YCD communicates its work and engages its community online.
Developed the organisation’s digital communication direction and content structure.
Plan and create content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
Turn projects and field activities into stories, educational content and impact-focused posts.
Coordinate with volunteers to collect stories, photos, videos and other content from activities.
Motivate organisation’s volunteer WhatsApp community to support engagement online.
Contribute to organisational planning and programme development as a co-founder.
Support communication around youth-led projects, environmental activities and community initiatives.
