How to create impact in your community as an environmental activist
As an environmental activist, it is important to ask the question what can I do for my community more often than what have others done. There are a number of things you can do for your small or big community as an activist and this includes the following;
- Identify an environmental problem that needs attention and speak about it or find a solution to it.
- Educate and sensitize your community members on the dangers or advantages of certain environmental issues.
- Create petitions and create a campaign to get as many signatures as possible.
- Be part of the administration of the community directly or indirectly to open the eyes of administrators to take the right decisions in favour of the environment.
- Partner with or support initiatives and ideas within your community that favours the environment.
